About Anderson County Criminal History

Anderson County records are divided among the courthouse, the sheriff, Lawrenceburg Police, the county jailer, and Kentucky agencies. This private guide explains which source keeps each kind of record and points readers toward official addresses, phone numbers, and online services. Lawrenceburg is the county seat and the location of the local court offices, but statewide court activity, corrections data, and registry information remain in separate Kentucky systems.

Why We Built This Site

A complete Anderson County record may require more than one office. The Office of Circuit Court Clerk keeps District and Circuit case files at 151 South Main Street, while the Anderson County Sheriff and Lawrenceburg Police Department retain reports their officers created. The Anderson Jailer coordinates custody because the county has no operating detention center. Statewide court reports come through the Kentucky Court of Justice Administrative Office of the Courts, fingerprint-linked history is maintained by the Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch, and corrections information comes from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. This site organizes those distinct routes in one reference.

What We Cannot Do

Anderson County Criminal History is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Kentucky court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Those boundaries mean:

  • We cannot retrieve an official criminal history or perform an official background check
  • We cannot issue certified court records, police reports, jail records, or registry documents
  • We cannot submit open-records requests or expungement filings for a visitor
  • We cannot change, remove, or correct a government record
  • We cannot give legal advice about a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement

Only the Anderson County office or Kentucky agency that maintains a record can provide an official or certified copy.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. A provider controls its own results, prices, and service terms. We may receive a referral fee when a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, which helps support public access to this reference site. We do not control a partner's matching process or the completeness of its data.
